Hello again dear readers,

As we continue our voyage through the world of English 6, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at the exciting posts I have lined up for the future, and more importantly, ask for your valuable feedback.

Over the summer break, I will dive deeper into each unit of the course reader. Together we’ll explore topics like:

  1. Global English: Why does English hold such a prominent place in the world today? How does it bridge cultural divides, foster international relationships, and play a crucial role in numerous domains?

  2. The Evolution of English Language: What are the key milestones in English’s evolution from its Old English roots to modern English? How have different languages influenced its journey?

  3. Literature and Culture: How has English literature reflected and shaped societal values and attitudes over time? What can we learn from authors of different periods and cultural backgrounds?

  4. Advanced English Grammar and Syntax: What makes English grammar challenging, yet intriguing? We’ll tackle complex sentence structures, subtleties of verb tenses, the use of modal verbs, and idiomatic expressions.

  5. Effective Communication and Public Speaking: How can we harness the power of body language, vocal modulation, and persuasive language to become more effective communicators and public speakers?

  6. English for Professional Purposes: How can mastering English facilitate our professional growth? What role does it play in cross-cultural communication in the workplace?

My goal with these upcoming posts is to delve into these topics in an engaging and accessible way, providing both insight and practical tips for mastering each area.

On that note, I want to ensure my course reader can serve you (the teacher) and our students in the best possible way. So, I’m asking for your feedback. What do you think works well for you? Where do you see room for improvement? Is there a particular topic you’d like to see covered in more depth? Do you believe that the assignments will challenge and inspire students? Are there other types of assignments you’d like to see included?

Your opinions are invaluable to me. They help ensure that the course reader evolves and grows alongside our learners. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below or reach out directly to my email.

I’m thrilled to continue this newly begun journey with you, exploring the rich tapestry of the English language and its many applications.

Stay tuned, and keep the feedback coming!

Until next time,
Jesper
